1st XI Division Two runners-up 1983:

Front Row (Right to Left):

Andy "Stopper" Mort, Craig Fleay, Martin Preuss, Craig Gill, Micky Fleet

Back Row (Right to Left):

Peter Mainwaring, Billy White, Steve "Louis" Lewis, Dai Nash, Gary Stones, Andy Thomas, Simon "Henry" Davis

The team had undoubtedly the best forward line in the division and deserved to win the title but finished an eventual close second even though they beat their closest rivals in crunch matches at Dunvant Park towards the back-end of the season.

Only Five or Six of the team survived to the next season. Craig Gill scored 51 goals and went straight into the Swansea Football Combination Team (a kind of
Swansea second team) whilst they were in the dizzy heights of the 1st Division (the equivalent of the now Premiership). Craig who is possibly the best striker Killay have ever had went on to play for the likes of Yeovil Town and Merthyr Tydfil.
